Phenomenally nice, near new, Colt Pre-War ACE pistol, made in 1931, with correct magazine!

Description:

Standard configuration Pre-War Colt Ace Pistol (SN: 3998, Cal. .22LR) with half moon front sight and fully adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with two line Colt address followed by the Rampant Colt. Right side of slide marked "Colt ACE .22 LONG/RIFLE". Full serial number on right frame with inspector number “20” on upper trigger guard web. Fitted with uniformly checkered walnut grips. Correct two tone pre-war magazine marked Colt ACE 22 L.R. on the fixed floorplate.

Condition:

Gorgeous 99+% bright pre-war Colt blue. Very minor sharp edge wear at muzzle and at bottom rear corner of frame. No wear on front strap or backstrap. VG/EXC magazine, with a few spots of discoloration, the most noticeable on the floorplate. It would be very, very difficult to improve upon this wonderful pre-war ACE short of finding an example that was NIB. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
