**SOLD** Colt Delta Elite Pistol in 10mm **Mfg 1987 - Box and Papers**
Description: **SOLD**Presented is a lightly used Colt Delta Elite pistol chambered in 10mm ACP. The Colt Delta Elite is a modified series 80 M1911 pistol chambered for the 10mm Auto cartridge. It was first introduced in 1987 by the Colt's Manufacturing Company. The Delta Elite is credited as being the first firearm produced by a major manufacturer to chamber the 10mm. The 10mm round was introduced in 1983 along with the first pistol in 10mm, the Bren Ten, which came from smaller manufacturer Dornaus & Dixon, who only manufactured 1,500 pistols from 1983 to 1986 when the company went bankrupt. The Colt Delta Elite was released in 1987 and was the second commercial pistol, and the first from a major manufacturer, chambered in the 10mm cartridge. This example is in very good mechanical and physical condition exhibiting a few light handling and use marks. The 5 inch barrel has a very good bore with strong rifling. The sights are simple fixed front and rear. Slide to frame fit is good and the slide operates smoothly. Grips are synthetic with Delta Elite medallions. Grips are free of cracks, chips or wear. If this fine Colt Delta Elite has been shot at all it has been very little indeed. Box and papers are included. This would be a great addition to a collection or a strong way to start a new collection.
