Colt 1903 U.S. Property .32 ACP caliber pistol. Very unusual U.S. Property marked Lend-Lease pistol with no slide markings. None of the usual roll marks were put on the slide, only the rampant Colt and then the British proof marks that were added when it went to England. The gun has its original Parkerized finish and the markings have not been removed, they were just never stamped in the first place. An unusual oversight by Colt, but probably seen as unimportant to the function of the gun by the inspectors. The factory letter states that it was shipped to the U.S. Government Port Transportation Officer, New York Port of Embarkation in 1944. Overall condition is excellent. The gun comes with a craft box and factory letter. A neat and rare variation for a U.S. military pistol collector. <!-- Serial number 564989 -->
