Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless pistol cal .32 ACP, SN: 157823, made 1913, with 3¾-inch barrel, fixed front sight, and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked "PATENTED / APR.20,1897. DEC.22,1903" followed by "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG.CO. / HARTFORD,CT. U.S.A." with SN: "157823" stamped on the left side of frame. The right slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Original black checkered hard rubber grips. Original dual tone magazine with unmarked floorplate. No box or accessories.
Condition:
EXC- original high polish prewar Colt blue as typical for pistols made before World War I. Sharp edge wear at muzzle, a patch of blue loss at rear of slide, left side near sight, and fine flaking discoloration on grip safety. Rear sight and thumb safety with virtually all their original blue. EXC grips and magazine that shows little insertional wear. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A nice, all-original, high condition Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless pistol from 1913.
