This is a high condition pistol retaining most of it's high polish, factory finish. It was manufactured in 1909 when Colt was still using its charcoal bluing process that produced the high luster finishes on these early guns. It has the usual handling marks and small areas of wear here and there, but overall very nice. I am not an expert, so I do not attempt to ascribe a finish percentage to the gun. Please view the pictures and decide for yourself. The grips are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The trigger and screws/pins have maintained their nitre/fire blue finish and the hammer's case hardening has held up very well. Most of these 1903 Pocket Hammers that you see have either retained little of their polished finish or are the later, brushed blued guns. The gun has no issues that I am aware of and would fit in nicely in any Colt automatic collection.
