Colt 1905 45 Auto Original condition *** No Shipping or CC Fees*** MFG 1906
Description: *** No shipping or CC Fees*** Colt 1905 SN 1444 mfg 1906. This pistol is the predecessor of the 1911 pistol. It shows plenty of wear from carrying and usage over the years please review the pictures carefully for the current condition. Comes with 1 magazine. The magazine fits fairly tight at the top. but can still be installed and removed properly. It has the original grips as far as I can tell. Most the checkering is worn off. Each grip has a hair line crack above the top screw. Slide operates properly as does the trigger and hammer movements. The slide does not automatically lock back when empty it looks like the magazine follower misses the slide stop engagement on it's way up. The barrel shows wear. Rifling can be seen and it has pitting in the grooves. I have not seen another similarly aged 1905 to compare the bore to so I am not sure what the standard is for barels this age to compare it against. Looking at other comparative pistols that have sold recently I believe this to be priced to sell aggressively. This should not be fired with full strength 45 ACP loads as the 1905's had a milder load than the later 1911's. Make sure to have it evaluated by a qualified gunsmith before firing. Please feel free to call if you have any questions.
