Fine Colt Model 1905 Military Pistol built in 1907
Description:
Serial #1758, .45 ACP (please note that modern full power .45 ACP should not be fired in this pistol), 4 3/4" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has a small amount of mild freckling within the grooves. This is a 1907-made pistol that has retained 75-80% of the original blue finish with the balance faded to a pewter gray patina with scattered spots of dark plum-brown freckling scattered throughout, but most noticeably on the right side of the slide and frame. Bright original fire blue is still present on the extractor and trigger, with muted original color case-hardening still present on the hammer as well. The checkered double-diamond grips are in fine shape with just a few minor handling marks, and some flattening of the points on either side. The pistol comes with a single original magazine and rates fine-near excellent condition overall. There were only 6100 of these pistols built and this one would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R;
