Colt Model 1908 .380 Auto Shipped to the NYPD in 1913. Includes Badge, Audley holster & Officer Photo

Offered for sale is a Colt Model 1908 .380 automatic pistol that was shipped to the City of New York Police Department in 1913. It is marked on the right side of the frame “P.D.N.Y. No. 203.” It is accompanied by a Colt Archive letter, a period badge, an Audley holster, and a photograph of the officer. During the time that these pistols were being sold to the New York Police Department a young wiz kid by the name of Alfred P. Lane (See Photo) was brought in to give the officers training on how to use these new automatic pistols. Lane had just won three gold medals at the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden. 
The pistol remains in very good condition, showing typical wear, however it functions perfectly. The original hard rubber grips are free from chips and cracks. The Audley holster is in excellent condition and is the correct type used by the department during that period. This is a wonderful historical package that would be difficult to improve upon.
I offer a three-day, non-firing inspection period and want the buyer to be fully satisfied with their purchase. The firearm will be properly packed and shipped, fully insured, to your FFL dealer within the continental United States for $85. Shipments to California are additional, as they must go through my local dealer.
