Available here is a 1917 pre world war l.. Colt government, commercial model 1911, 45acp semi-auto pistol. It has the correct 5” barrel for commercial model.. with no markings except proof (p) in front of the lug, and a faint (c) in the same area. Lands and groves are strong with no contamination to speak of. Fit and finish is tight, with a crisp trigger break. I have shot this gun and it is fairly accurate 12 to 15yrds. The sights are correct and original as are the double diamond checkered walnut grips, all in good condition. The beautiful blued finish is in excellent correct and original unmolested condition with dinstinct roll mark depth an definition. The overall body lines are straight with pronounced good sharp edges. The front grip strap has no finish wear, but a couple of “ring” marks, the rear MSH grip is in near perfect condition. Also has marks on trigger guard as pictured. Please look at the minor marks below slide stop on the frame.. as a result of design flaw plunger groove in slide stop. the slide has virtually no metal marks or worn bluing. A period correct Box (not numbered to gun) and operators Manual are included as well as Colt letter.
Also comes with very nice Sears leather holster and soft Allen sheepskin lined pouch for awesome protection when going to the range.. Fedex 2-Day ship is 40.00 to anywhere in the USA, insured. FFL is required for transfer, C & R is OK. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
