1919 Colt 1911 U.S. Army WW1 Two Tone MagFinish
Description: **California ready shipping dealer** **Curio & Relic elgiable gun** This is an excellent estate gun. Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army as issued during WW1 in 1919 near the end of production. Chambered in the venerable .45 ACP with the correct HP 5" barrel. Original Military Brush Blue Finish. Colt switched back to this blued finish shortly after the Black Army Finish. It is a very distinct and attractive finish for a service pistol. Original, correct barrel marked with the “&” Symbol on the underside and “HP” intertwined atop. These barrels were made for Colt by A.H. Fox. The bore is a 7 out of 10, with good rifling showing. The slide has Colt's proper time period Logo and Pony Placement left side. Right side is “Model of 1911 U.S. Army. The frame is inspection proofed on the left side the correct Ordnance Dept Eagle, 1st Type. On the inside frame-ahead of the hammer is the correct ”G" proof for Colt Govt Contact. Ahead of that is a proof not distinguishable. The hammer is a type 3 Colt. Correct for WW1 production. Proper Two Tone Magazine is included. The Colt Period Correct Grips are really excellent condition. Free of chips or cracks. Just some honest wear you would expect to find around the edges. The finish is retained quite well. Wear on the front strap and mainspring housing and high edges. Not much holster wear at all. The gun really presents well for a pistol possibly involved in countless wars and conflicts and being 107 years old. An excellent example of a Colt WW1 Pistol for your collection.
