1927 Hartford Colt - Argentine 1 of 10,000- 98% original blue finish !! .45ACP

Description:
This Colt was built in 1927 in Hartford Ct. The contract was for 10,000 of them, and this is ,by far, the nicest of them that I have ever seen ! Wear is mainly on the front strap ( see photo ).No import marks ( it may not have left our country ? ). Most that I have seen have had the serial number applied to the frame and slide on the right side, by the Argentine Government. This one has not had this done. The original Colt applied serial numbers are present on the top of the slide, under the mainspring housing,and the barrel. The pistol has not had a lot of use judging by the tight action,and " the sound " that we associate with a fine commercial Colt of that time, when you pull back on the slide.... The bore is shiny with strong lands and grooves.  All of the interior parts show very little wear as well.,,,just like the outside. I have included a photo listing all of the RA inspector marked parts, as well as the other Colt applies markings. The serial number was hand stamped on the reciever under the grips and on the back side of both grips.....very unusual, I think. Note that the barrel chamber was milled after bluing....marking it as a Navy, Police or Commercial weapon. The magazine is a pre WWII Colt ...not an Argentine numbered mag. Again, this is a very unique example of a 1927 Hartford Colt and the condition is awesome...  Questions or offers welcome.
