***SOLD*** Extremely Nice WWII Colt 1911A1 in amazing condition! Hard to find a WWII pistol in better condition than this one!
According to Colt's , this Colt was made in 1943, and according to our sources it was shipped in 1944. It is in all original condition, based on our thorough inspection! It's marked G.H.D for Guy H. Drewry, Brig. General inspector mark. Correct barrel with "Colt 45 Auto", "P" on barrel lug, and "f" on bottom (see pics), with outstanding bore condition. It comes with correct WWII Scovill magazine subcontracted for Colt (thus marked "C-S"). All parts are original and period correct! No serial number under the firing plate, as expected, since they stopped this practice between serial numbers 1140000 and 1145000. The Colt serrated mainspring housing is interesting, since they are usually seen in late 1944 pistols, but the fact that this pistols was shipped in 1944 would explain that! (I have seen original pistols in the 1200000 range with serrated mainspring housings before).
Original correct Coltwood plastic stocks with mold numbers, wide rings, and strengthening ribs, in outstanding condition! The action on this pistol is crip and operates flawlessly! Again, the condition on this pistol is amazing!!!
