Offered for sale is a fine example of a British Military issued Colt Government Model. This pistol is chambered .455 Eley and has its original Colt .455 barrel marked with a "W". Many of these guns were converted to 45 ACP and are missing the .455 barrel and magazine. This example is quite nice and has a high percentage of its original blued finish left. Most of these guns are refinished and highly worn.
This is the second best example I have owned in over two decades of chasing collectible Colts.
Included is a 1914 patent dated Audley Calvary holster which was likely a private purchase by the officer who carried it,
A very rare gun!
