Colt 1911A1 1945 Issue

Description:
Very late production (1945; serial no. 1,662,XXX) Colt manufacture 1911A!. Complete, unaltered, every mark and part there. Looks like maybe an MP's pistol, because left side, especially slide release and safety, show finish wear, as do sharp edges, as if if a lot of unholstering and holstering (for inspection?). Original barrel finish worn somewhat at ejection port, consistent with same history. Otherwise as issued. Mirror bore. HCD inspector's mark for BG Hugh C. Drewry, senior Army inspector. Grips and grips screws appear untouched. Magazine floorplate has contractor markings (see photos). Overall, excellent late WWII collector.
