1943 Colt 1911 R.L. Shockey Custom M1911A1 U.S. Army 45 ACP

This WWII era U.S. Army issued Colt 1911 A1 has been customed by renown bullseye master pistolsmith R.L. Shockey. It has had a complete trigger job to reduce play and trigger pull. Added are adjustable rear Bo-Mar Deluxe sights and an extended front sight rail for increased sight radius and better accuracy. The forestrap has hand stippling added to reduce hand slippage. It has been stamped "United States Property" and "M1911A1 U.S. Army". This is truly an ultra rare if not unique piece.
