Description: Colt Custom 1911 Government MKIV / Series 70 Pistol in .45ACP and a KIMBER .22LR CONVERSION KIT. SN #28867G70. Mfg. in 1977. CUSTOM WORK BY ARMAND A.D.SWENSON. Custom BAR-STO 6" Barrel with an EXCELLENT Bore. The Satin Hard Chrome Frame and Polished Black Slide are in EXCELLENT condition as is the Checkered Diamond Grips. Noted Colt 1911 Custom Gunsmith Armand A.D. Swenson was an early pioneer for combat applications of accurizing and customizing 1911's. On this pistol some of the work included a Custom Trigger and re-worked Trigger Guard, Front Strap Checkering, Custom Safety with A.D. Swenson Fallbrook, Calif. engraved on it and a new Main Spring Housing. Also included with this is a Kimber .22LR Conversion Kit ($230-$300 Value) that includes everthing that's needed to convert and shoot this pistol with .22LR ammo. Kimber Kit has a 5" Barrel with an EXCELLENT Bore and an Aluminum Slide. Comes in a nice Metal Cushioned Carry Case. Weight of Colt .45ACP is 2.49 lbs.
