The Series 70 Government Model is widely regarded as one of the finest production 1911s Colt ever made. Introduced in 1970 with Colt's improved collet-type barrel bushing for enhanced barrel-to-slide fit and accuracy, these pistols earned a devoted following among competitive shooters, military veterans, and serious 1911 aficionados.

CONDITION:

The frame retains approximately 85-90% original blue finish with light wear on the carry edges and grip frame, consistent with careful use rather than neglect. All roll markings are sharp and fully legible: "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL" on the left flat, "COLT'S MFG CO., HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." above the serial number on the frame. The bore is bright with strong rifling.
