Colt 1911 Commercial Model – 1963/64 With box
Description: Colt 1911 Commercial Model – 1963/64 With box This sale is for a Colt 1911 Commercial Model made in the early 60’s with the original box and spare magazine. This gun was put away and not taken out until recently. Those of you that are familiar with the rubber grips on the early post war 1911’s, have heard and seen that they suffer from shrinkage … at least that’s what Colt called it. They also would powder and hold moisture. This one is the poster child for that condition … showing the problem in spades. The gun is as new and unfired condition with the exception of some blue fading in the top of the matt bluing on the slide and the damage caused on the frame by the grips. I have photographed it with the grips on and grips off. The surface damage is mostly on the left side of the frame at the bottom of the grip. I installed a new set of colt rubber grips as shown in the last two pictures.. The pictures help tell the story on this nice old 1911 commercial model. If you need more pictures, etc., please email me. This firearm must ship directly to a type 01 FFL dealer/license holder or a C&R license holder. Packaging, shipping and insurance for this purchase will cost $35. Total payment for the firearm plus the amount for packaging, shipping and insurance must be paid in full, using a United States Postal Services, USPS, money order or a Cashier’s check. The money order can be obtained at your local Post Office. Email confirmation regarding the above is expected from the buyer within 72 hours following purchase. Payment is expected within 5 business days of purchase. The item will be shipped to you within 3 business days following receipt of a USPS money order or Cashier’s check. If you send a different pay instrument ... it may take longer to clear and shipping will be delayed accordingly. SOLD |
