Colt 1911 WWI Chateau-Thierry Commemorative .45Acp Pistol, Pre-Series 70 Model made in the remembrance of the four most noted battles of World War One, Limited Edition #730 in a series of 7,400 made in 1967, Semi auto magazine fed pistol, Features, Front blade and rear dovetailed notched sights, High polished blued finish, Soldier scene etched on left side of slide and Commemoration ribbon on right, Thumb and grip safety, Lanyard ring, Checkered wooden grip panels with WW1 brass medallions with eagle motifs and a "Chateau Thierry" brass plaque, (1) Colt blued steel magazine, Barrel Length, 5". SN:730-CT. Condition: Fine. Pistol remains unfired with excellent mirror bore and sharp rifling, All metal retains 98%+ original blued finish with very faint freckle of pitting on right side near takedown pin, Original metal condition of slide on left side is poor and appears to have been blued over light specks of pitting from factory, Grips are excellent free of cracks and breaks with no visible handling marks and light tarnish to brass grip medallions, Good clean steel magazine. Pistol shows no firing and little to no handling or storage wear overall. C&R Okay.
