Colt Government Mdl. (Competition Custom) Cal. .45 ACP Ser. 2754XX C. Mfg. 1956. This trophy taker has been professionally prepared for competition as follows. The adjustable rear sight has been upgraded to a white outline type as was the front sight. An extra thick barrel bushing was precisely fitted to the Colt .45 Cal. stamped barrel, the ejection port was increased in size and shape for consistent fast ejection, the trigger mechanism was made silky smooth with no backlash and a trigger shoe was added. According to the estate all work was done professionally at considerable cost. The gun retains about 90-95% of the original factory blue. The little loss there is, is due mostly to some small surface handling marks and some slight sharp edge silvering. The original Colt wood grips are great with no damage, The grip screws likewise. The slide rails, feed ramp and bolt face do show some use. The bore is super, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling.
