Description:
This is a good example of a Colt Model 1911A1 made in 1970 to commemorate the African-European-Middle Eastern Theatre during WW2 and the 25th anniversary of Germany's surrender. It is nickel-plated and is engraved with the locations of key battles during the war. The gun comes with 7 nickel-plated .45 ACP cartridges and a velvet-lined wood display case. On the inside of the display case is a photo of Germany's surrender in Rheims and a name plate that reads "World War II Commemorative, African-European-Middle Easter Theatre, December 11th, 1941 - May 7th, 1945". This example has minor handling marks. A great collectable. .45 Auto
