Description:
High condition Colt Gold Cup National Match. .45 ACP, made in 1968 with beveled recoil spring plug. Standard configuration pistol with patridge front sight and fully adjustable Elliason-marked rear target sight. Left side of slide referencing National Match and the caliber. Colt address in Hartford on right side of the slide. Barrel marked “COLT .45 AUTO N.M.” over chamber. Serial number on right side of frame. Fitted with checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. Correct factory magazine referencing Colt and Caliber on floorplate. Correct factory box. Literature to include; factory target, warranty card, and warranty pamphlet.
Condition:
Pistol with 99++% with bright original blue finish. No discernible wear on frontstrap. Trace sharp edge wear very bottom of backstrap. Excellent, crisp grips. Comparable condition magazine with minimal insertional wear. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Near excellent literature. Test target with expected folds and light staining. VG box with shelf and sharp edge wear, one of the corners with easily repairable split. A wonderful, early Colt Gold Cup with matching test target and literature that could only be improved with a better condition box.
