This is a genuine Colt 1911A1, produced in 1945—a coveted era among collectors and history enthusiasts. Chambered in .45 ACP, it features the rugged parkerized finish of wartime service, a standard 5-inch barrel, fixed combat sights, and checkered walnut grips. Marked "GHD" on the left side of the frame which indicates it was inspected under the authority of Brigadier General Guy H. Drewry at the Springfield Arsenal. With its single-action design and classic "cocked-and-locked" safety system, this is a historically significant sidearm built for battlefield durability and lasting appeal.
