SOLD! COLT NAVY. Description: This is for a Colt Model 1851 Navy, manufactured in 1861, and chambered for .36 caliber with good action and indexing. This is a well-preserved Civil War–era Colt with authentic antique character, graded NRA Antique Good to Very Good.
Barrel
* Original 7.5-inch octagonal barrel.
* Exterior shows a handsome brown patina with areas of finish loss, as expected for a revolver of this age.
* Scattered, very light pitting present on the barrel exterior.
* The address line on the barrel top remains clear and fully legible.
* Bore is semi-dull with visible rifling and some rusting throughout.
Cylinder
* Cylinder displays a brown patina with finish loss and moderate exterior pitting.
* The iconic naval engagement scene is no longer visible, but the serial number remains intact and readable.
* Cylinder bores are semi-bright with some rusting.
Frame & Other Metal
