Here is a great gunfighters western rig with the color of the streets of Tombstone. It started life as an 1851 Colt Navy percussion 36 caliber revolver , serial #1450, which was made in the first year of production in 1850. All the numbers are matching inc cylinder. Barrel was shortened to 4.5" during its period of use and converted using the Ricards Mason system to 38 rimfire. It was also period nickel plated during that time frame as well with a half moon front sight added. The cylinder scene remains at nearly 100% and the gun retains at least 85% of the period nickel as well. The original varnished grips are excellent. Bore is nice with strong lands and the action works and locks up like a new gun. It comes with its original custom rig which looks like a cut down old military flap holster and Civil War era belt and buckle. They have a lot of checking but are still quite servicable. A nice early short barrel gun fighter rig that really has the old west look and feel.
