This original Colt 1855 28 cal, manufactured in 1856, has a 3-1/2” octagon barrel mounted with a pin front sight along with a notch in the top strap for the rear sight. Stamped in the top flat of the barrel is; +COLT PAT 1855+ ADDRESS COL COLT HARTFORD CT U S A-. The bore and cylinder are in fair condition with turn marks and sporadic pitting throughout. The cylinder and lock mechanism has a fair amount of play and works sporadically. The Walnut grips are in fair condition with handling marks and a chip missing from the back left corner. This revolver is in fair over all condition. The length is 8”, the weight is 1.1lbs.
