The Colt MK IV Series 80 Officer's ACP is a subcompact, single-action .45 ACP pistol introduced in 1985 as a concealed-carry version of the 1911, featuring a 3.5-inch barrel, a 6- or 7-round magazine capacity, and a 33–34 oz empty weight. It commonly features a stainless steel or blue finish, a Series 80 firing pin safety, and a shorter grip frame compared to the standard 1911.
