Offered for sale is a Colt 1911A1 in .45 ACP, complete with its original box, factory paperwork, and two magazines. Manufactured by Colt in 2004, this faithful reproduction of the iconic WWII-era military model features the correct non-glare parkerized finish.
What sets this pistol apart is its remarkable provenance: In 2011, this firearm was gifted by General William M. Keys (Ret.)—then CEO of Colt Defense, LLC—to his former Vietnam War radio operator, who served alongside him during combat missions when Keys was a captain. This personal history adds both sentimental and collectible value.
The pistol shows no appreciable wear or signs of use and remains in excellent condition. A copy of the original Colt invoice is available—please inquire, and we’ll gladly provide it via email.
