Description:
This Colt Woodsman, Ser # 20494-S , Sport Model was mfg abt 1948. It is referred to as the 2nd generation "S" series. It distinguish's itself from the prior series w/these features: Auto Slide Stop - Holds Slide open
after the last shot - this indicates that the magazine is empty. The slide remains open wile the mags
are exchanged. Depress the slide stop releases the slide which feeds the chamber. Sagety Lock -
When pushed up locks the slide. Magazine Safety - Prevents the trigger bar  fr contacting the sear
unless the mag is fully inserted. Magazine - Has an easily operable thumb button along side the handle
which  makes  for easy loading & reloading of it. Coltmaster Rear Sight -  Has click adjustments for elevation
& windage. Dualtone Finish - Minimizes disturbing glare on all relative surfaces/ Called a "Glare Proof or
Satin Finish". 
This is the 4 1/2" Barrel "Sport Model" w/the original box, factory test target (Has actual Serial No. of this Colt)
Factory Small Envelope w/Brush, Bore Cleaning tool, 2 - Grip Adapters PN#50052 & -53 (Very Rare)*. 
Also the rareer "Colt Woodsman Automatic Pistol Instructions for assembly, disaasembly & cleaning.
(Althuough it comes w/a period factory box, this particular one is period worn but in very good shape for a 
76 year old box.
This Colt Woodsman bluing is abt 98% w/ the grips being almost mint. The action is normal & the bore
has perfect rifling & is shiney & bright.
This to me is an "NRA Excellent & should appeal to the advanced Colt Woodsman Collector".
