1936 Colt First Series Woodsman King Super Target with Ropers

Description:
Shipped in 1936 as certified in the accompanying Archive letter, this Colt First Series Woodsman received attention from the fabled King Gun Sight Company of San Francisco, featuring the full-length ventilated rib on top of the barrel with the proper small reflector inset in the rib just behind the red dot front sight. The rib is marked "COLT-KING SUPER TARGET" on the left side and runs to the fully adjustable rear notch sight. The first ventilated rib for Colt - a concept that Colt eventually took up and used for the Python years later. It wears a later set of Roper target stocks with thumbrest. There is some high edge wear and a small ding above the Woodsman script, below the rib.
