Colt Woodsman Target 3rd Series .22 Long Rifle SALE PENDING
Description:
The Colt Woodsman is one of the finest .22 caliber automatic pistols ever made. Colt built these pistols out of the best materials available, with each pistol hand-fit and finished by an expert gunsmith. The Colt Woodsman quickly earned a reputation for classy looks, superior reliability, and excellent accuracy. The Colt Woodsman remains a coveted pistol today by both collectors and shooters alike that appreciate a finely made .22 pistol. Made in 1956, this Colt Woodsman Target Model has a 4 1/2" inch barrel and fully adjustable rear sight. The original factory blue finish shows some holster and high edge wear, primarily on the barrel, and the grip strap finish is thin. The factory original checkered target-style black plastic grips are in good overall shape with no cracks, repairs, or major damage; showing only some light wear and some small dings. The bore in this Woodsman is excellent, mirror-bright and pristine. There is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections of any kind visible and the rifling still has nice sharp lands and grooves. We have no doubt that this Colt will be just as accurate today as it was in 1956. All of the controls on this Colt are in perfect working order. While the original blue finish shows wear on the exterior, the internals of this Woodsman Target are clean and show typical mechanical wear for a period shooter. This pistol was obviously owned by someone who carried it quite a bit and took very good care of it. If you have been looking for a reasonably priced Woodsman to use and enjoy, this pistol would be an excellent choice.
