Superb Colt Pre-Woodsman .22LR Semi-Auto Pistol
Offered here for sale is probably one of the finest conditioned early Colt Woodsman pistols as we have had the pleasure to acquire in quite some time. This Colt Pre-Woodsman (that is an early specimen introduced before the model Woodsman" was stamped on the gun) is a semi-auto pistol, .22 Long Rifle caliber, serial #29194. The pistol was manufactured circa 1922 and it is in 99.5%+ condition. It has the MOST DESIRABLE 6 5/8” barrel and retains almost all of its polished blue finish with a beautiful Rampant Colt emblem at the rear of the slide and the model stamping COLT AUTOMATIC are near mint as well with one very slight mark. The bore is MINT, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable pre-Woodsman Colt. The only wear is extremely slight at the muzzle on the high points of the slide and at the slide rear wear on the right side of slide wear the slide was held by thumb and finger to draw back action. The result is a tiny "pin-prick" patch which is smooth to the touch. That small area is a thinning blue-grey. A MOST DESIRABLE early Colt.
