**SOLD** Colt Challenger Semi Auto Pistol in .22 Long Rifle Caliber **Mfg 1951 - Very Nice**

Description:
Here we present a very clean Colt Challenger semi auto pistol chambered in .22 long rifle. The Challenger is basically a simpler and cheaper version of the Colt Woodsman having a heel magazine release, plastic grips and fixed rear sights. Both pistols were designed by John Browning. The Challenger was predecessor to the Colt Huntsman which had walnut grips. The Challenger slide does not lock back after the last round. Though this pistol does not have all the bells and whistles of the Woodsman it is a very nice pistol. It has some honest wear and a bit of high edge wear. It has some holster wear on the top of the slide and at the muzzle. The plastic grip panels are in very good condition with no cracks or chips just a couple of small pressure marks at the sharp edge at the bottom but nothing serious. The slide to frame fit is very good and operates like butter. The thumb safety is sure and snappy. The 4 1/2" barrel is very good with strong rifling. Simple blade sight at the front and fixed rear. This is a fine pistol and would make a great shooter or addition to a collection. One magazine and no box.
