High Original Condition Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless pistol, .380 ACP, blue finish, made 1922, in an Original Shipping Box with hanging tag, literature, and a bristle brush.

Description:

Standard configuration Factory Blued Colt 1908 Hammerless, cal .380, with 3 3/4? barrel, blade front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with the two line Colt address followed by the Rampant Colt past the slide serrations. Full SN on left side of frame. Colt inspector markings “W” and “VP” on the left side of the trigger guard with a “48” on the right trigger guard. Right side of the slide marked “COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS”. Fitted with hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. Original dual tone magazine marked “CAL .380 COLT” on the floorplate. Complete with an original but unnumbered shipping box, cleaning rod, hanging tag and literature.

Condition:

EXC original prewar Colt blue with just the most minimal sharp edge wear at muzzle and a scattering of pinpoint freckling on the front and back straps. Comparable condition grips with crisp molded checkering. Near EXC original dual-tone magazine with insertional wear as photographed. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. G box with shelf wear, cracking, and lost material at left front corner. Hanging tag and literature with handling and oil staining.
