This Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless, factory nickel finish with walnut checkered grips and Factory Letter showing shipment to Wolf and Klar of Fort Worth, Texas on August 31st, 1926 in a 50 gun shipment.

Description:

Standard configuration Factory Nickeled Colt 1908 Hammerless, cal .380, having 3 3/4" barrel with blade front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with the two line Colt address followed by the Rampant Colt just past the slide serrations. Full SN on left side of frame. Colt inspector markings “1” and “VP” on the left side of the trigger guard while a “48” is on the right trigger guard. Right side of the slide marked “COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS”. Fitted with walnut Colt medallion grips. Original magazine marked “CAL .380 COLT” on the floorplate. Complete with a Colt factory letter showing shipment to Wolf and Klar of Fort Worth, Texas on August 31st, 1926 in a 50 gun shipment.

Condition:

VG+/EXC with the nickel having fine handling scratches as carefully imaged. Oil darkened walnut medallion grips, minimally blunted checkering, showing no sign of losses. Comparable condition magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics though the hold open lever, while holding the slide open, will rotate slightly out of position.
