Scarce brush blued Colt M1911A1 U.S. ARMY pistol, SN: 715924 as issued to US Navy with matching slide, made 1939, cal. .45ACP, with 5" barrel, fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of matching slide marked "PATENTED APR.20.1897. SEPT.9.1902. / DEC.19.1905. FEB.14.1911. AUG.19.1913" with "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO. / HARTFORD.CT.U.S.A." bracketing rampant colt logo. Right side of frame marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" over SN: "715924". Barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on left side of chamber with "P" on left side of lug, the "P" repeated on the top of the slide and left side of frame, in all instances having cut through the blued finish. Nicely haloed "H" on frame near mag release button. Uniformly checkered walnut grips. Seven-round dual tone magazine with "B" on inner toe. VG-EXC dual-tone magazine with expected insertional wear. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG holster with near EXCbelt.
