Description:
   This is a Colt model 1908 Hammerless Pocket  Automatic  pistol, chambered in the .380.  It has the original factory nickel finish, wood grips and factory magazine.  It was shipped to  Stauffer Eshleman & Co., New Orleans, LA in 1925.  This store, and it's founder have a very interesting history. The pistol is in excellent mechanical condition, showing only little signs of being fired.  The bore is in very fine condition also. There is some cosmetic wear and errosion to the nickel finish, mainly under the grips and also a spot under the forward part of the slide.  The checkered Colt grips are solid, showing some storage and carry wear.  The box is in tattered shape, missing some pieces, held together with tape. The papers inside are very good considering it is 100 years old and was a New Orleans gun - overall a nice little Colt, and an above average survivor for the gulf coast climate.
