This is a rare Colt Ace Service Model chambered in 22LR for use in military training. Most of these went to the US Navy. The slide and frame are serialized and matching. Collectors value the WB or GHD inspection proof, but the CSR inspection proof present on this example is almost NEVER seen, with less than 200 made. It has retained around 92-94% of its original bluing. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, and very minor signs of use. Comes with excellent and correct wood grips, and correct Service Model magazine. Extremely rare opportunity to own a beautifully blued Colt Ace issued to the military in 1940.
