Colt Single Action Revolver 45 1st Gen 1920s
Description:
Serial #339604, .45 Colt, 7 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.
This is a 1920-made revolver that retains 85-90% of the original bright blue on the barrel, ejector housing, and cylinder, with some mild freckling and gray fading on the high edges and projections.
The frame still has about 70-80% of the original color case-hardening visible, with some freckling and gray fading along the edges.
A similar amount of color case-hardening can be seen on the hammer, while the trigger guard and gripstraps have about 40-50% of their original blue remaining with gray fading and freckling on the gripstraps themselves.
The checkered Rampant Colt hard rubber grips are intact with only minor handling blemishes and small marks as well as some flattening of the points.
The grip panels are actually a little loose due to a non-standard keeper pin installed on the interior of the frontstrap.
The lock-up is tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly.
This is a great looking first generation Single Action Army that retains a high degree of original finish and rates fine-excellent condition overall.
