Bergmann Mars 1903 with Original Shoulder Stock.
Description: Description: Standard configuration Bergmann 1903 with 4” barrel having fixed front and rear sights. Left side of barrel extension marked “CAL.9.” The locking block on top of slide marked with Bergman Mars patent reference. Crown/Crown/U on barrel, barrel extension and left side of trigger guard. Serial number under barrel. Walnut checkered grips with fine border. Secured with single transverse screw. Magazine numbered 152. Complete with factory original leather covered shoulder stock, unnumbered, that doubles as a holster. Synopsis: Bergmann Mars 1903, mid-production, with super scarce leather wrapped shoulder stock. Condition: VG original rust blue finish with wear as one might expect from a holstered pistol or one that has seen moderate use. Patch of oxidation on right side of barrel extension has been touched up. Thin finish on front and backstraps. Comparable condition fire blue on locking block, rear sight and safety lever. Same holds true for the straw on hammer and trigger. VG magazine whose floorplate has been cleaned. Factory original stock with salt blued endcap. Leather reasonably supple with intact stitching showing no repairs. Lightly frosted bore with sharp rifling. Bolt is sticky to operate and magazine release has a very strong spring. Manual mechanics otherwise perfect. A scarce Bergmann with even scarcer factory shoulder stock. A real find for those interested in early, shoulder stocked, developmental pistols. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT! Buyer is responsible for a flat 2nd day FedEx shipping fee of $155.
