Jim Clark Custom 1969(est) Bullseye Heavy-Slide Colt Govt. Model .45acp. 1911 - 5" Match barrel, Bo-Mar heavy slide match sights, 3.5lb Match trigger, Tight fitting bushing to enhance barrel accuracy and stability, "Tiger Tooth" stippling on frontstrap, wood grips, one 7rd .45acp magazine included. Very minor usage wear to firearm as whole, barrel in excellent condition. This beautiful piece was customized by Master Pistolsmith, shooting match champion, and WWII Marine: Jim Clark Sr. who's pistols then and now are known for their reliability and accuracy. - After beginning his Pistolsmith career by customizing Colt match revolvers; He purchased (for 10 cents each) hundreds of 1911 slides that the military had cut in two and sold as surplus, and thus beginning his long and successful road of 1911 customization with the creation of the "Long-slide" which many competitors came to prefer then, and even still do to this day because of their long sight radius. All this; the creation and success of his match grade handguns enabled him to win the 1985 Pistolsmith of the year award. And although Jim Clark Sr. passed away in 2000 he left not only an outstanding legacy, but his company "Clark Custom Guns" which is operated under the supervision of his son Jim Clark Jr. who (not too surprisingly) is a very accomplished, and exceptional competition shooter. .45 ACP
