** SOLD ** RARE 1984 CZ Pre-B Model 75 9mm Pistol w/ Orig. Box, 2 Mags, Test Target, & Ppwrk
* 1 Matching Mag & Looks Unfired! *
Description: This is a truly spectacular, minty, handsome, and RARE all-original CZ "Pre-B" Model 75 semi-auto pistol in 9mm Luger that was manufactured in 1984, complete with the original serial-numbered and matching factory box, the factory test target, the factory cleaning brush, and two factory serial-numbered 15-round magazines with one of them matching the gun. At the time this gun was made, the CZ factory engraved all of the magazines that came with these Pre-B Model 75's with the last 3 digits of the gun's serial number using an electro-pencil, a feature that only the early-production guns have. This exceptionally clean and minty example appears totally unfired since being test-fired at the factory in 1984, and is an early-production gun that does NOT have the big ang ugly importer's white-lettered stamping on the front left-side of the slide that you will see on the majority of these. It is accepted that only 2000 or less of these were made in total by CZ for export to the commercial market in the U.S.. As you would imagine, the VAST majority of these were bought to be shot and carried, so most examples from this group of 2000 +/- are well-worn and heavily-used nearly 40 years later. Long-consdered by collectors and shooters alike as part of the "Wonder 9's" or "Super 9's", the CZ Model 75 is considered by most as solidly among the top-10 best SA/DA semi-automatic 9mm pistols ever made. It is also considered by most to be unquestionably among the "Top 5" high-capacity/double-stack 9mm pistols of all-time. The CZ 75 has been improved, refined, and modified numerous times over the years, spawning countless variations and copies that are all based off of the original Pre-B Model 75 pistol in this listing. The CZ Model 75 was designed in 1975 by Joseph and Frantisek Koucky of Czechoslovakia as the very first Czech 9mm pistol designed there strictly for export sales. The Koucky brothers used what they determined to be the best design elements and features from a number of earlier pistol designs from Walther, SIG (Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft ) in Switzerland, Sig Sauer of Germany, F.B. Radom, and F.N. Browning. They also used several of the 1930's Petter-Neuhausen patents when designing the functional details and the slide-to-frame interface where the slide rides on the inside of the frame rails like the SIG P210 rather than outside and on top of them as most semi-auto pistols do. The end result was the CZ Model 75, which was put into production in 1976 by the CZ factory. It quickly proved to be very well-made, highly durable, exceptionally accurate, and extremely reliable. Despite the CZ Model 75 initially being designed for export sales only, the success of the design spurred the CZ firm to sell them in Czechoslovakia by 1985. 4 years later in 1989 the superb pistol was officially adopted by the Czech Military, after an uprising called the Velvet Revolution ended 41 years of one-party communist rule. An improved variation of the CZ 75 has remained the primary service pistol for the country ever since, now called the "Czech Republic". This beauty was bought new by the original owner in 1984 here in Kentucky, and has been in storage ever since. As you can see from the pictures, it appears to be unfired since leaving the CZ factory and is in spectacular all-original and un-modified condition. It rates 99% overall, and would be a flat-mint 99% PLUS and unfired gun if not for a few VERY tiny little storage/handling marks on it. These are all very hard to see, and are not noticeable except under very close inspection. These can be seen best in picture #15 and consists of some extremely tiny nicks all in one spot in the factory baked-on black enamel finish. These itty-bitty marks could probably be fixed with the extremely careful application of a tiny bit black paint if one found an exact match to the factory enamel finish on the gun. The rest of this pistol is like-mew for all intents and purposes. The insides of this pistol are just as spotless as the exterior, and there is no visible wear on any part of it. The bore is mirror-bright and pristine, the rifling is like-new and sharp, and all of the controls are in perfect working order. The action on this pistol is VERY precise, smooth, and slick, despite the extremely close frame-to-slide fit. The trigger is smooth and breaks nicely for a combat-style pistol, particularly when firing in single-action operation. This CZ 75 could pass for having been made last week rather than 39 years ago, and still has 99.9% of it's service life intact. This Pre-B CZ Model 75 is AS GOOD AS IT GETS! It has to be amoung the best in the world in terms of both condition and completeness, If you have been looking for one for your collection that would be impossible to upgrade from in any respect, this is it!!!! NOTE: The original purchase receipt is also in the box but not pictured. The buyer will get it with the gun, but I did not want to post it online with the buyer's info on it. It was VERY surprising to see what this pistol cost in 1984, which was a little over $600 dollars then! Using the value of $1 dollar now in 2023, in which $1 dollar in 1984 is now the equivalent to $2.94 using the average inflation rate over those 39 years, that equates to this pistol selling new for $1764.00 today if we use $600 even as the original purchase price! It really was a pretty expensive pistol in 1984, even more so when you consider that you could buy a brand-new Beretta Model 92, a Browning High Power, a Glock 17, a Browning BDA (a Sig P226 with Browning's name on it), or any one of the S&W Models 439, 539, 639, 459, 559, 659, 469, and 669 for less money, with many of these priced substantially less at $400 dollars or less retail. Sig Sauer's P226 9mm pistol was introduced in 1984 as well, at about the same price as this Model 75.
