This Czechoslovakian service pistol was produced between 1952 and 1954, with around 200,000 manufactured for the Czechoslovak military during the Cold War. This example, serial number S19607, was produced in 1953. It is chambered in the powerful 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge and features a short-recoil, roller-locked action, making it unique among contemporary service pistols. The slide and frame show scratches, and the wood grips display significant wear, but it operates smoothly with a slide that locks up properly.
