The Dan Wesson Heirloom 2022 .45 ACP pistol is the third iteration of the Heirloom series to be manufactured in an extremely limited quantity for a restricted group of lucky connoisseurs. The Heirloom is basically a .45 ACP caliber 1911A1 full-size variant, feeding through a standard 7-round single-stack magazine and featuring a Match-grade 5\" barrel. All controls are standard and non-ambidextrous, with a frame-mounted manual safety located only on the left side of the frame. The grip safety is however slightly higher in profile, with an extended beavertail for additional shooting comfort. Both the slide and the frame are machined out of solid steel, and features a full bronze finish with an intricate engraved floral scrollwork on both sides. Grip panels are manufactured out of black G10, rounding out this traditional pistol while adding a secure gripping surface; black accents on the small parts and mainspring housing further characterize this pistol. The Heirloom pistol features a U-notch beaver-tailed rear sight and a brass bead front post sight. The Dan Wesson Heirloom 2022 is the perfect pistol for the discerning collector who wants to be captivated by its impeccable level of attention to every detail while at the same time being left with a pistol that he, or she, should never be afraid to shoot.
