The Maxim Defense CQB pistol brace provides the adjustment options the shooter needs to comfortably shoot the PDW. The handguard is a 6-inch MFR XL flat front rail with M-Lok attachment points. Normally, an SLR M-LOK MOD 2 Plain Front Handstop is attached to the bottom of the aforementioned handguard to ensure the safety of the shooter’s hand. The bullet weights are quite different between the subsonic and supersonic loads, so a twist rate that can accommodate both is mandatory. The Maxim Defense CQB pistol brace provides the adjustment options the shooter needs to comfortably shoot the PDW. The handguard is a 6-inch MFR XL flat front rail with M-Lok attachment points. Normally, an SLR M-LOK MOD 2 Plain Front Handstop is attached to the bottom of the aforementioned handguard to ensure the safety of the shooter’s hand. However, here it has been replaced by the larger Magpul M-LOK angled fore grip (SKU MAG598). The muzzle device is Daniel Defenses’ own Linear Compensator. This is made of stainless steel and is designed to ensure the muzzle blast is directed away from the shooter. The receivers are made of CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum. The lower features a flared mag-well for easier mag changes. The upper features integral M4 feed ramps. The manual safety is ambidextrous as is the charging handle. This PDW is pre-owned but is in excellent shape. In addition to the replacement of the original hand stop with the Magpul one, Ruger polymer flip-up sights have been added, as well as a Sig Sauer Romeo MSR red dot optic. The MSR’s top turret features two off settings, 10 regular brightness settings, and two Night Vision settings (marked N1 and N2 on the turret). A single point sling has also been added, as well as a Streamlight Protac Rail Mount 1 flashlight. The latter increases the length of the pistol slightly. A Magpul PMAG 30 AR300B is currently equipping the pistol. This version of the PMAG 30 is designed specifically for use with the 300 Blackout and is visibly marked as such on both sides. Technically, 300 Blackout will feed correctly from most if not all .223/5.56 mags, however for safety reasons, the AR300B magazine exists to help a shooter separate their 300 Blackout loaded mags from their .223/5.56 mags. The pistol exhibits only minor wear. There is some powder burn residue on the outside of the Linear Compensator. The brass deflector has a small spot of brass residue on it, and the fore end has some minor handling wear on the right side. Other than this, the external finish of the PDW looks as when it left the factory. The bore is fairly clean in appearance and shows no signs of pitting or rust. The DDM4 PDW comes with its original Daniel Defense hard case and paperwork.
