"A.J. Plate/Slotter Derringer Pistol Lawsuit Gun. .42 Caliber with 1 ½" barrel and 4 ½" overall length. This gun was made by Slotter for A.J. Plate. This gun was one of the counterfeit pistols that became the subject of the lawsuit filed by Henry Deringer for patent infringement. These guns were being counterfeited and marked Deringer, but were not Henry Deringer made guns. This gun has a different style sight, 6 groove rifling, the wrong style barrel address for a gun made this late and the ""P"" on the left hand side of the barrel does not have any “feet". Just slight nuances that one can tell this is not a Henry Deringer made gun. This is also one of the smallest counterfeits that was produced. Gun is in very good condition!
