"Eclipse Derringer (AH6255)

Based on its serial number, 167, this 22 rimfire ECLIPSE deringer was made by Iver Bye & Co. of Worcester, MA, circa 1870s to 1887. Iver Bye & Co. was the predecessor to the Iver Johnson Company. The 2.5"" barrel has a fair bore with visible rifling and firing erosion. The left barrel flat is marked ECLIPSE. The gun retains approx 85% of its original nickel finish. The walnut grips are fair with finish loss ans an old age crack on the right. The action functions correctly.
