Antique Remington Vest Pocket Pistol 32 RF Short Saw Handle Large Frame Deringer
Description:
Serial #2475, .32 Rim Fire Short, 4 inch part octagon / part round barrel with a fine bright bore with very good rifling and moderate pitting along the top. This is the Remington Vest Pocket Pistol also known as the "Saw Handle Deringer" built from 1865-1888. The barrel and showing about 85-90% original bright nickel with flaking around the muzzle and breech having some light nicks and contusions with crisp marking along the top facet. The frame appears to have been cleaned in the distant past and has aged to a closely matching mostly bright finish with surface marks and scattered small scratches. The original rosewood grips rate very fine with light use marks. The action functions properly with a tight lock up and crisp trigger. A great looking example of these neat vest pocket pistols seen less often in this caliber. Antique
