SCARCE Antique NATIONAL ARMS CO. .41 Caliber Rimfire SPUR TRIGGER Deringer
Nicely ENGRAVED BRASS FRAME Pre-Colt Pistol
Description: SCARCE Antique NATIONAL ARMS CO. .41 Caliber Rimfire SPUR TRIGGER Deringer Nicely ENGRAVED BRASS FRAME Pre-Colt Pistol Here we present an antique Engraved National Arms Company Deringer Pistol, made just after the close of the American Civil War with a production run between 1865 and 1870 in Brooklyn, New York. Only 12,000 of these were made by National Arms before the company was purchased Colt. This scarce little Deringer is chambered for a single shot of .41 rimfire, a likely choice for very concealable self-defense in the last half of the 19th Century. The entire barrel swivels on a hinge for loading, when the hammer is put into half cock and the release button is pushed. The hammer is split and acts as the rear sight when in full cock. The frame is engraved solid brass, and the barrel is of iron. After the original maker, Moore’s, was purchased by the National Arms Co., the Colt Firearms Co. bought National Arms and started making the pistol in 1870! This overall condition is good. Excellent action. The bore is in good shape and remains clear. Both grips are seated firmly and remain in good shape. Lightly engraved frame and barrel with traditional floral designs. This example is nicely refinished. Legible markings. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-1/2 inches. Caliber: .41 rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1400 #227640 SOLD Antique: Yes |
