MATCHED PAIR of Antique DUELING Pistols by NOCK
Description: MATCHED PAIR of Antique DUELING Pistols by NOCK 19th Century English Percussion Pistols Here we present an antique cased Set of English Henry Nock Percussion Dueling Pistols, made circa the early 1800s in London. Henry Nock was a very successful inventor and gunsmith in the 1700s. He sold his work to civilians and military contracts with the English government and his company continued to do so, even after his death in 1804. The business was carried on by his son-in-law and foreman, James Wilkinson. The company was renamed later in the 19th century as Wilkinson Sword, a name that some will recognize today. These pistols feature long octagonal barrels in .53 caliber. Bores are smooth and will take a patched .49 caliber ball nicely. Each pistol is equipped with a single set trigger and simple notch and blade sights. The barrels read “H. Nock London Gun Maker To His Majesty”. The locks, trigger guards and barrel tangs are engraved. The stocks are hand-checkered. The stocks and ramrods are tipped in horn. These handsome pistols are housed in a fitted case with a very nice grain. It includes a leather pouch of .49 caliber lead balls, a powder flask, and a small capsule with percussion caps. This is a very attractive set of pistols from a well-known British maker. The overall condition of both pistols is very good. The barrels retain their Damascened pattern. The markings are legible. The stocks are in great shape. The bores are smooth and clean. The action is excellent on both pistols. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 10 inches. Caliber: .53 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $4625 #8073 SOLD Antique: Yes |
